OUR PHILOSOPHY
The Linden Meadows Physical Education program is designed to develop a physically aware individual who is interested in Physical Education as an essential component of an active and healthy lifestyle. Through the Manitoba Physical Education curriculum guidelines, our goal is for 100% enjoyable participation.
At Linden Meadows School, we know that physical literacy is a journey not a destination. With that in mind our physical education program helps students K to 8 acquire as well as build upon the movement, fitness and social skills needed to live healthy, active lifestyles. Linden Meadows School starts every day with an Active Start program, alternating opportunity for participation every second day between the early years and middle years students. Physical activity before academic activity shows an increase in engagement, focus and attention in many students.

CHANGING
Please make sure you are properly dressed for class. Students will still need to change into appropriate clothing for outdoor Phys. Ed. classes. Proper clothing includes:
- Shorts, T-shirts, Sweat (track) pants, Sweat shirt, Socks and Athletic shoes
- Please make sure you have non-marking soles for indoor Phys. Ed.
- Please do not leave any valuables in the change room
- In our attempt to provide a safe environment for students involved in activity we ask for students not chew gum or wear jewelry while participating in Phys. Ed.
